About SACHI

Sisters Against HIV and Cancer Initiative SACHI), is a community-based program focused on empowering Marginalized Community Women and Girls to improve their sexual and reproductive health and right access to services, and advocate for their health to combat the interconnected challenges of HIV/AIDS, Human Reproductive health and right and cancer. Founded in December 2017 and was registered with CAC in 2018, we aims to reduce stigma, enhance access to SRHR services, awareness creation, and promote prevention and early detection strategies. The initiative provides education through community engagements, campaigns, trainings, workshops and outreach, creating a platform for women, girls and other marginalized groups to learn about improved access to SRHR services, HIV transmission, cancer awareness, and the importance of early screenings. SACHI is implementing community driven project aimed at improving community engagements, access to services, SRHR advocacy and social justice in North-central, South-south and South-east Nigeria. Key strategies include forming support networks for women, girls and marginalized groups affected by these diseases, advocating for better healthcare policies and access, and fostering collaboration with local stakeholders and organizations creating a supportive community environment. Overall, SACHI seeks to empower women, girls and marginalized groups, enhance community health, and address disparities in care related to HIV and cancer.

To create awareness for all health -related issues affecting people generally as well as a society where the right of Key populations and women are upheld.

Mission

To reduce vulnerability and poverty among Key populations, women and children as well as empower and engage key populations and women in education, vocational skills, socioeconomic, civic, health and environmental program that would make meaningful impact in the society.

Aims

The Organization aims to promote and create an enabling environment that support the health and wellbeing of individuals especially those who are poor and vulnerable as well as encourage healthy lifestyles, prevent disease and illness.
