HIV/AIDS
Goal:
To contribute to the national HIV/AIDS response through activities aimed at reducing the spread and mitigating the impact of HIV/AIDS amongst high-risk groups, the poor and other vulnerable population.
Implementation Strategies:
SACHI in collaboration with CCFN under the Access project and joined other organizations in Delta State to implement HIV/AIDS intervention through Community mobilization, Peer Education and Peer session Monitoring. General population interpersonal communication sessions, special rallies/outreaches to include; night outs, implementing IGA activities, Mobile Counselling and Testing, Syndromic Management on STIs, distribution Of Condoms, Formation of Support Groups/home based care, care for OVC, home visits and referrals and linkage of Positive clients to SACHI OSS, for Care and treatment.
Malaria program:
Sisters Against HIV and Cancer Initiative since 2019 has strategically continued to engage communities in the fight to prevent and halt the spread of malaria especially amongst the poor and vulnerable in our communities.
Goal:
The overall goal of SACHI malaria interventions is to reduce the overall incidences of malaria especially amongst children under five, pregnant women and nursing mothers in Nigerian communities.
Implementation Strategies:
The organization has worked and collaborated with Management Science for Health (MSH), ACOMIN and other partners in the malaria intervention through the activities of Advocacy visit, community mobilization, ITN awareness campaigns, road shows, rally, community drama, IPC sessions to communities, schools, garage, parks, markets, food vendors, etc to reach the general population in Ughelli, Delta State. Also, intensive malaria interventions that includes training of community members in selected LGAs in Delta state.
GENDER BASED VIOLENCE (GBV)
SACHI has been collaborating with Association Against Child, Sexual and Gender based violence (AACSGBV) to create awareness on gender-based violence and referral of affected GBV victims to law enforcement agencies. SACHI over time has also collaborated and participated in various activities where training, interaction and best practice, knowledge sharing on SGBV matters with Key populations are regularly discussed.
CANCER:
Overtime SACHI has being collaborating with CODAF to create awareness on cervical cancer screening and uptake of services in Ughelli North, Delta State.
